Hi,
I'm 17, fairly new to the kit car scene and I would like to have a kit car as my first car. I have tried to find companies to insure under 21's but with no success. Can anyone help recommend a kit car which is cheap, but good enough for everyday use or a insurance company to contact to get a reasonable priced quote.Any help will be much appreciated.
Just get hold of a kit-car mag and just ring round, you should be able to find someone that will insure you. When I looked recently Sureterm and Heritage were the cheapest and Adrian Flux a bit more... of course there a lot more companies out there to try.
With a kit car, the major two things are engine size (not power) and insured value
ok thanks for the info. I have been told by numerous people to look at a mini midas or a gtm rossa. Is it possible to get a kit car such as as the caterham or the robin hood and use a small engine such as a 1 litre aygo engine, because i'm more bothered about the looks over the power?.
