hiya everyone,my name is andy from derby,im a car/bike/quad mechanic and am currently in the process of building a "rage" style street legal supermoto buggy type thing! ive nearly finnished my main tubular chassis, constructed from scaff bar bent with a pipe bender, worked a treat, its a 12ton machinemart one,i didnt really think it would manage the scaff bar but did it with ease,im not sure what engine yet? id really like a big v twin thumper,vtr1000 or tlr1000? but i think ill probably end up going for a big 4 cyl bike engine in the end cos there a bit easier to get in good nick i think.
with my frame being self build,am i going to run into vosa ect problems?? please god i hope not???(im a coded welder and have done some heavy welds on her then ground them down so all tube joints are flowing and smooth as if the frame is 1 piece)
i was looking at another members build on this forum(sorry cant remember name) and noticed he was using a sierra 1.8 diff, when i look at it i cant see it as a diff thats used on a sierra?? just so i understand it properly is it a diff removed from the outer housing or what? i cant see it in the right light, could someone explain it a bit better for me please? thanks.
im really dreading not being able to road reg her!! ive searched the web and found loads of articles but nothing concrete about where i stand with a self made frame ect??:fear: thanks for reading, speak soon,andy..

it's all at the discression of the tester and mainly if it looks like it's strong enough - do you honestly think that most kit car manufacturers could provide detailed structural chassis design details on request? - I think not!

ps get some pictures up :)
