Hello all,
I have a few questions about car vs bike engined kits if anyone can offer some advice. Ideally from anyone who has owned/driven both car and bike caterham style kits.
I will explain my position. I am planning on purchasing my first kit car, but want to try to make the right decision. I know it will be a caterham style replica like an MK. However I can not decide to go for a bike engine or car engined kit.
1) What has been your experience with a bike engine and car engine, any problems or extra maintenance that a car engined kit would not require?
2) Have you ever driven a kit with a car engine or bike engine, what have been your comparisons of the two types?
3) What has your experience been with no roof or weather proofing?
4) How easy are bike engined car to drive on the road, parking, speed humps, etc?
5) Any other advice you have in helping me to make my decisions between car or bike engine will be helpful thanks?
Thank-you very much
