I'm going to attempt to fit these this afternoon. Any tips on getting them in the right position? Should the fixing lip of the wing follow the inside of the wheel well?
I was taking the front height to be the top of the square section on the front of the wing ( I believe on other non E30 chassis they cut this away to fit round the rear swing arm mounts) to be in line with the exhaust protection bar.
How high should the rear of the wings be? Obviously not too high, so they wing sit too high and doesn't follow the line of the top of the tub.

If you haven't already looked, the pictures on the Marlin CD are pretty good for the rear wing fitment.
They show clearly where the front edge should be and the rest then kinda follows pretty easily.
I spent a long time looking at photos of finished sportster. The one thing that I noticed on a few was the front to back positioning of the wing was a bit off, best thing to so it put something between the wheels and the wings and then move it around until the wheels sit nicely with the flow of the wing. The other thing I saw on a few was that the wing was too high up, I guess the spring height helps adjust that. I suppose in the end it's personal preference, I spent many hours eyeing this up and I think it's pretty close to what I think is the right place to put them:
