I think Tim is the only m52 builder to have completed his build,I am using an m50 engine and gear box.I have found that the gear box sits left of center of the transmission tunnel, looking from the rear.Any m50/52 builders found this?

I am building an M50 Cabrio, which has less space than you guys have in the Sportster. I spent a long time wrestling with alignment in my engine bay/transmission tunnel.
In the end I chose to position my gearbox output flange in the centre of the tunnel, and allow the engine to sit at a noticable angle away from parallel with the centre line of the car.
As I have not yet driven it, I do not know whether this will be a success?
