That is spooky....was about to ask the forum about stalks.I had to lower my steering wheel as it was to close to my dash surround, and then found that the bmw indicator stalk was too chunky(and ugly) to work properly. Thanks!
Well, this is bloody annoying. I get round to ordering some, and the site I found them on is now dead, and the only other place I can find that have them has some dodgy issues with pay-pal (keeps saying that the merchant can't receive money), and when you ring them to enquire, there's no answer.
eBay seems to be drawing a blank as well.
Anybody seen these elsewhere, or something similar?
Right - I've asked the question on the e30zone, and am awaiting answers from there. However, I chanced my arm and rang Motormec in Lowestoft, as they used to do bling bits for BMWs.
Turns out they're not doing them anymore, but they put me onto this chap:
I've just called him, and he can get them in no problem, but as he's fully stocked at the moment, it'll be a couple of months before he puts an order in. He's taken my details, and will ring / email me before he puts his order in to see if I still want them.
Now - if several people where to ring him up and ask for the same thing, he may be persuaded to order them earlier... You never know!
Got mine today-one in silver, and one in anodised red, which is the same colour as my future paint and matches the carpet....havent decided which one to use yet...but if I opt for the red, the silver will be offered up to the forum.
I've fitted mine now. They look very nice - but for some reason, they didn't fit at first. On measuring, the outside diameter of the stalk is 7.5mm, and the inside diameter of the cover is 7ish mm. I ended up having to run a 7.5mm drill down the middle to open it up. Then they fit perfectly.
