I am building a speedster (Pilgrim) but not sure what to do about the steering wheel for IVA. Last car I SVA'd I had a pad for an aftermarket one. Now I understand you need to use one from the car? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v605/bonerp/Speedster009.jpg
My problem is that there is no way this will be ok for IVA! What should I do?
does anyone know of a 15" thats nicely padded for IVA? I dont wanna to place the switches in too much just because the IVA wheel is smaller than the banjo type wheel I will end up with.

Hi,
You are describing a typical alignment issue. It's called "clear vision." If the steering wheel is way off, it can be corrected with a 4-wheel alignment, adjusting toe to correct it. If the steering wheel is within 1/8 turn of being centered, it is usually considered within manufacturers specifications and probably isn't worth the expense to correct it. It is an annoyance.
hi bonerp,i spoke to you a few months ago reguarding seat belt problems on my speedster,i made my brackets attached to the seats to hold the seat belts so they dont slip off youre shoulder,as i work around the corner from the testing station in edmonton i popped in ,had a chat with one of the guys,he said the bracket has got to withstand 3 tons of force, gulp no way,so im popping downto pilgrim later in the week to buy a windscreen, so im going to have a chat with them,i,ll keep you informed, regards mark , ps hows the build coming on
