I am currently building a replica of a bugatti veyron for my self and will be taking a mould off the body. The decision I have to make is do I make a proper mould that can be used on a production basis or do I just make a thin mould with re-inforcment to take just 1 body from the mould. I will take 2 sets of body's off the first mould, 1 for myself and 1 in case I prang it.
What are the legal issiues regarding producing a kit car when it's still in production? The body was drawn in 3D up using blueprints off the internet so it would not be mm perfect like if you took mould off the real thing.
Any advise would be apreciated.
If there is no legal issiues regarding selling the body's where would be the best place to sell them?. I have my own composite compant building products as a 3rd party builder but I do not really want to get into the marketing side of selling kit cars, I would much prefer to sell the body's to a company that was already in the kit car industry and had a customer base and a bit more knowlage than me on the marketing side.
Any advise would be apreciated.
