Is this an M50 Vanos engine? Do you know if it is a 2.5ltr? If it is, the inlet manifold with injector rail and throttle body is worth £65-100 on ebay. The BMW boy racers love them, as they use them to raise the performance of the 2.8 M52 engine which has a restricted inlet manifold.

Hi Mike,
I nicked the photo off a fleabay advert. It just ammused me that some would use a picture like this to advertise an engine. From memory it was very expensive and only a 2 litre M50, so not very interesting.
But I guess the guy gets full marks for honesty and free chuckles
