Clap Hands wiper mechanism?

7 Nov 2010, 3:23pm
I'm looking for a clap hands wiper mechanism... about 28" between the spindles would be perfect... Any suggestions on a donor car that might have this?

Old Morris minor?

Thanks

Do you mean wipers that wipe towards each other?
You could look at the system used on Series 3 Land Rovers. It works with a flexible rack, driven from a remote motor, in a tube running through a wheel box behind each wiper stalk.
By changing the length of the tubes between the wheel boxes you can set the wipers where you want.

The Minor ones , Marina , LandRover , Triumph etc are all pretty much the same....the newer examples get better options....They aren't clap hand though , but to make them clap hand , you mount one of the wheel boxes upside down....

I have some Herald and Vitesse examples that will work for you....£20 + £6 postage for the complete setup....message me for details if any good ?
