How old is your 'lil'' boy?

The Ron Champion (Haynes) build your own off road buggy is good - some lads at my school used the plans to make a 3 wheeler (although the book is about a 4 wheeled design) using an old 50cc moped.

Does it need to be powered? Some of our younger boys had great fun (and considerable success) building a pedal grand prix car which they entered in the British grand prix!

And then there's green power - they have lots of information on battery powered cars which they race.

Just some thoughts

I'll have a dig around - I'm sure I have pics somewhere of the more recent projects!

I saw at the weekend whilst looking for some other info that there is a primary class for the Green Power competition. They sell kits for this (called the Goblin). May be of use as a source of parts for a junior build maybe?

Hi,
take a look at this...........

Also, MNR are doing a kids Lotus 7 that is electric powered, but I cant find much on the web.

If you look at the MNR Vortex article here......
http://www.totalkitcar.com/tkc_article_1947.php
you'll see the kids version in the picture. According to Kit Car magazine the kit cost £1200.

It seems a shame but my boys are all grown up now...

thanks peterux.
ile be honest I dont like the idea of my son going round in a wheelie bin lol,
yea looks good like, but at the same time looks a bit crap haha.
and the MNR kit is lush but way to expensive, im waiting on my grasshopper plans to arrive so will probably start on that soon like, just keeping my options open, hey you dont have to build it for your kids, build it and sell it maybe?
