Has anyone got pictures of the marlin front number plate holder fitted,but with the nose cone off?

I had to trim it to make it fit as my horns and rad bracket were in the way.

thanks for that..aside from the clamps over the bumpers,did you fix it to the cross member below the horns?Was it on for IVA? ta

Mine needed trimming as well. I just used 2 jubilee clamps to secure it round the bumper bars and it seems pretty secure. Only fitted it after IVA.

I didin't bother with the Marlin holder. I've always thought it looked a little out of place on what is such a retro front end.

I made a couple of brackets myself, and attached it to the nose cone with a couple of stainelss coach bolts.

All they are is a bit of flat bar bent at an apropriate angle with holes drilled to accept the NP bolts and the fixings to the nose cone.

I fitted mine after the SVA test as I wasn't sure about the 'sharp' edges but I did put some clip-on edging along the bottom edge of the nose cone.
It's just fixed with exhaust type 'u' clamps over the bumper struts. I originally used some hose clips but I wasn't sure if they were strong enough. I think it should be fixed to the cross member to stop it flexing too much, but mine isn't.

I can always pretend i'ts like an F1 front wing that changes angle with the speed of the car

Number plate

Assuming a fail at iva is the most likely scenario first time around, I think I will go through with it on but well trimmed and see what happens.

I haven't got the Marlin one either - I've used 2 flat strips and riveted them to the inside of the bumper bars and then bent them to follw behind the bumpers - can't quite remember how I attached them to the number plate but I think its a bolt at each end hidden behind the bumpers...

same two bent metal strips glued to the inside of the nose cone does the job for me
