[SIZE="3"]hi all I have just got a adapter plate to fit a v8 in my vw base charger it is all drilled out ready to bolt on the vw box but the other side is blank. so I am thinking of fitting a different engine mainly the ford mondeo z tek or something along these lines. reason for this I need wiring seats and loads of other parts mondeos are 2 a penny, rover sd1 is like rocking house poo and fetching a mint. I am looking for a daily drive with good performance I can use most of the interior so it ticks a lot of boxes. right question is how would I find out what engines would Mary up to the vw beetle box splines not bolt holes as plate will cover that or am I looking at picking the engine then getting the spline somehow made up. andy [/SIZE]
