Goodwood Revival

Does anyone else fancy going? I went last year and, although expensive, it was awesome....

Will probably go again this year but it would be better with some others....

Pauline and I are interested - what are your plans? Single day, or all weekend?

Last time we travelled down on the Friday and stayed in a hotel in Basingstoke which was about 2/3 of the way there for us. Went to Goodwood on the Saturday only then came back and stayed at Basingstoke again. Home Sunday. That way we were able to dodge potential showers and not fight the M25 Sunday night. (Had to fight it Friday night though lol)

If you fancy doing the whole weekend though there is more than enough to see but I think we will just do the Saturday again. Saturday is Ladies Day.....

What I did was to book the hotel in advance (cheaper) and then wait until about 10 days before to book the tickets to get some idea of what the weather was going to do.

This year we will probably try to leave earlier on Friday to avoid the M25 hassle. Claire is a teacher and if I twist her arm we can get away about 16:00.

It would be great to have another Sportster there....

PS - You must dress up - it's half the fun....

Hmmm - as much as I really, really want to go, I'm now snowed under. Especially with mum's chemo starting again. :(

Again Peter, thanks for sharing.

Naughty boys...... fancy working on what looks like the white Mk 2 Jag without putting covers over the bodywork while they are working in the engine compartment.

We missed out this year. Loads of our friends went on our suggestion but we left it too late to buy tickets - doh. Apparently there was a review in the Daily Telegraph after which tickets were like rocking horse dodo.

So that's now Kop Hill and Goodwood to put it next year's diary....
