Is It A Bird ? ....is It A Plane ? ......

Was told to keep this one close to my chest up until now but its on the world wide web , so no secret anymore....

We supplied a SAMMIO SPYDER body to a prop making firm earlier this year..The firm is run by two local 'celebs' a pair of twins that perform illusions and magic tricks....They have been commissioned by a pantomime company in Newcastle to create something a little different.
The twins have a reputation for making large objects appear and fly....

So from now until January , panto watchers at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle will see a SAMMIO SPYDER fly as part of the production...

heres a link to the press release ...fast forward the video to about 3.30 up until about 4.35 for the relevant bit.....

That car looks great. I think the look of the car changes a lot by adding another set of lights closer to the centre, transforms the Syder from a pretty little car to a beast.

Absolutely brilliant! To be fair though, what other production model could they choose? Nothing else on the market has the visual impact of the Sammio range?

Quite amusing that one journalist described it as a "Visual Triumph!" :eusa_clap:

Well done Gary.

The extra lights are there for a purpose but they do change the look , agreed....looks a bit like a Le Mans car with them in place....

Tony , fit 2 lowering blocks - that'll fold your wheels in !

A major bonus of our car was location ....we are based about 3 miles from the Twins , no doors and outer skin body only .....oh and price. They were originally going to use an Aristocat XK120 body but we fitted the bill better....

Andy , the Twins have said if I cover expenses for transportation , we can borrow the rig anytime !! So maybe one day !

Fantastic! The car looks great and the show looks well worth a visit. What a great publicity machine for your business Gary - I'd be outside handing out promotional leaflets if I were you. :eusa_clap:

Oh, and I had an Austin 1100 that did that with its wheels once - at 40mph on the army and navy roundabout in Chelmsford...:icon_neutral:
