DVLA closures plan puts 1,200 jobs at risk

The loss of jobs is obviously bad for all in line for the axe...

But from a purely kit-car centric point of view, where are you going to get your car inspected after you pass IVA? Will we all have to truck our cars to Wales?

I know of one guy, where the inspector arranged an appointment to visit at home.

Still need inspectors I guess. Unless the more online thing is taken more seriously. For example. When applying for the SVA, I had to supply photos of the build. Could have been anyones to be honest. Will there now get rid of inspectors and let us upload/post them the engine/chassis number? Make life easier!

Heavens forbid any common sense, but maybe they will get VOSA to do it at a test station.

But I expect you're right, the'll centralise it in Wales :laugh:
