Sammio Blueprints.

2 Jan 2012, 6:40pm
I am working on some new logo's at present for some proper headed paper , signs etc...

Might even create an office !!!

As part of the designing some new logo's process , I asked my mate Chris Welch of Tribute Automotive fame , to do some drawings for me .....

I wanted some blueprint style pictures and he has done this for me - I am really pleased with the drawings....

I am going to print a few out for the workshop wall etc. If anyone wants me to forward them the original file so they can print their own out , just email me for the file....

THANKS CHRIS.....

I clearly look as old as I feel most mornings then !!

G46 COMMENT WAS CORRECT....I am now 47. C-47 ?

Chris did it because he thought it looked the part on the drawing....I personally would have gone for a 1952/3 date myself , but I am not complaining !!

Mulb...I will get Chris to send me a higher resolution file to send onto you ....email me so I have your email address ....save me looking for it !!

Oops. Sorry Gary, I thought you were wearing pretty well for a 55 year old.

I only figured that could be your date of birth because I'd also have expected a design date in '52 or '53 to complete the illusion.

Very nice drawings though, really authentic looking.
5 Jan 2012, 8:32pm
'52 would have been my choice - pre '53 production....

I will see if I can get him to change it....

Hi Gary,
Can I have one as well please (not the naked one with mike draped over:yuck:)

The font script looks pretty good....wonder how much it would be to have it cast and chromed?
5 Jan 2012, 8:52pm
Just tried printing the 'aged' blueprint straight from the thread.

The yellowed paper effect looks great but the image printed in a sort of widescreen view making the sammio look like an automotive sausage dog.

Guess I'll have to email Gary for a proper copy. :spy:

nick59 it would cost around £270, for a one of cast and chrome, i have a die for a "sammio" name for the front of mine, but its causing a few problems the badge keeps snapping when in the wax stage between the s&a in sammio, " i work in a foundry" but i will keep on trying to achive this....

kin ell,

wonder if they can make them in china (the place not the material!)

Chromed logos

What about resin, like they use for modelmaking! Then just spray it chrome.
