Anyone going? What day is favourite?
(Last year Sunday was by far the best attended day.)

Depends on the weather, but I hope to go on Sunday.

Dad and I hope to go Sunday (weather permitting). Will have a shopping list for the car, and a question list for you guys!! Look forward to seeing so many Sportsters all at once!

Will be going but weather dependant as to which day. But minus the car because its still in bits. Have had to divert my attention to the house due to extensive modernisation internally.
Should learn to get my priorities right.

I would love to go but have the whole month of May travelling for business in Canada, USA and Mongolia - aren't i lucky (not). At leastMike will be bringing my servo along if he goes....

It depends on the weather as my trip to Detling was cold, wet and miserable.
I agree that from the previous years I've attended Stoneliegh, Sunday seems to be the best day.
Previous years, we've stayed overnight in a B&B but it'll be a one day visit this year, if at all.

Of course, that's not a problem now my Sportster goes at warp speed:laser:
and currently has no brakes at all :becky: :becky: :becky:

It's not looking to promising...........

UK Outlook for Thursday 3 May 2012 to Saturday 12 May 2012:
Fine and dry across many northern parts of the UK through Thursday with some sunshine, away from the cloudier east coast. Further south, conditions will be generally cloudy, with showers or longer spells of rain interspersed with some drier and brighter spells. For the remainder of the period, becoming largely unsettled across the whole of the UK. Showers may be heavy and thundery, possibly wintry over higher ground in the north. Becoming windier for many parts, especially across northern areas. Temperatures may be rather warm across some southern areas at first, but will tend to fall throughout the period across all areas, to become largely below average with a risk of frost by night in sheltered inland parts.

I'd look later on in the week, if I where you Pete. Any forecasts much past 2-3 days are notoriously unreliable. ;)

Not sure i can make it this year - will see!

I'll be going on Sunday (unless the weather's dreadful). My first visit to Stoneleigh so really looking forward to it - can't wait :bounce:

Looks like Sunday will be best day.

Get your tops off boys.

Vikki will be topless on Sunday - and she likes taking photographs, nudge nudge, wink wink... :D
6 May 2012, 7:36am
Getting ready to go - planning on leaving around 10:00ish, so see you all later. :)

I won't be there I'm afraid. Combination of a gerotted left ankle and poor weather. Hope you have a good day!

Cheers

Well done, I think after all the effort and care you have taken you deserved the win.
7 May 2012, 11:05am
Well done Jason! Dissapointed now that I was unable to go and see it.

For those who couldn't make it, here is the proof.....

I've posted my other pictures of 'cars that caught my eye', on my Flickr site.....

I hope you enjoy them..........

P.S. Mike Garner has promised me he'll be there next year in his Cabrio to pick the prizes ! (that's if he isn't in the main hall as MBM's European agent, selling dual diaphragm boosters )

Truly a vision of loveliness when seen in the flesh.

Wish I could get my better half as enthusiastic as Pauline is over your Sportster.

Congratulations Jason.

Really good to meet everyone else at Stoneleigh that frequents this site.

Dennis

I second all your sentiments!

Well done Jason, Vikki looked resplendent!
    - thats the second Overall Show winner who was a Madabout user - Simon Gregory won a couple or three years back.

My Sue shows less and less interest in my car, but says it due to how long its taking to build!!

And yes, it was really nice to meet up at Stoneleigh, particularly the first timers - Dennis and Mark.

As Peter says if my foundling importing buisness doesn't flourish due to supplying duff servos, and I can keep out of the Marlin AGM tent (good move those who stayed outside! - 21/2 hours the meeting lasted) I hope we can meet up next year with more of our cars there together? I've got no chance of competing with the likes of GOO and Vikki - Lee Hunter will have cossetted his Cabrio for another year in its carcoon, and made it so spotless and shiney that none of us will get a look in next year!

It was good fun to see you all
    Mike

Not if they supply any more duff ones!

Hope you get on OK with the new one - do let me know as soon as.....
