Right take 3 on my donor i have now secured a MKIII with a bunch of extra running gear and a complete FD1300 so some of the parts i had been stockpiling for a 1500 build are now surplus to requirements.
I recentley bought a brand new complete Triumph 1500 FWD head which i am told by those who know triumphs is a straight swap onto a 1500 RWD engine with the added benefits of having slightly larger valves, the other obvious advantage is that this head assembly is brand new! Still in its original packing grease so it will need stripping and cleaning but otherwise ready to drop on.
I paid £150 plus £20 p&p as it obviously quite heavy and am only looking to recoupe my outlay.
Consider what a set of new valve guides with a recut of valve seats on your old head would cost and it works out cheaper to buy this one!
