Interesting Robin and somewhat different in concept to the Sportster, looks like it came with a shiney new shed as well!

Its a Pembleton. http://www.pembleton.co.uk/. 3 wheel version. No IVA (MSVA instead) And yes, as I intend to keep the Sportster at least a few more years, the shiny new shed was essential...

Had a look on the Pendleton site, it looks like it will be great fun to build, all built from sheet alloy to patterns.

You must post the updates as you progress with it.

Are you using citroen or BMW drive?

I am actually using a "small block" Guzzi. One of the current builders designed an adapter to mate it to the 2CV box and we have had half a dozen made.
The small block Guzzi is 750cc but weighs the same as the 2CV engine and at 49BHP has considerably more grunt. And the Pembleton weighs about 300Kg....

Amazingly - one of the cars already built has a big block Guzzi (900cc?) that puts out nearly 100BHP. Think about the power to weight ratio.....

The website is mainly run by one volunteer - one of the current builders. But - it does the job.

Phil Gregory, who designs and builds the kits, is a bit old school - doesn't even have an email address. On the other hand he is a moderately famous Motorbike racer and has used his years of experience in the Pembleton....

The chassis looks like it has been very well welded and powder coated.
Will you be using a helicopter or crane to move it from your workshop to the road? :wink:

very nice choice, never seen a bad pembleton, the quality of the kit shines through.

Something like that. Going to have to knock a garden wall down. I don't like it (the wall) much anyway. Will be replaced with double gates. But that's a long way off yet with my build speed...

I'd like to do a Moggie look alike, but no 2CV's here to be had.
The Honda 500CX shaft drive seems to be the most suitable donor. 'Guzzi's
Are quite dear as well, even for a 100,000 mile bike. May consider an F4 as it is just simpler and more economical.

Video and pictures soon. Marlin is going to its new home tomorrow which means the Pembleton can move from the workshop to garage and will be much easier to get out onto the road.
