Introducing a new build tread. Tony has asked me to start this off for him due to time and computer knowledge limitations. Don't worry Tony we will have you uploading pictures in no time
Tony has found a really clean Mk1 MX5 to base his body conversion on. He has the best colour combo available, IMHO, black paint with a tan leather interior. He is planning to spray the finished car in the original Mazda black, which will look great.
Internal support panels and shell brace fitted.
Tony has modified and refitted the interior trim panels.
Trail fitting the rear section of the body.
Tony then bonded on the roof at the head of the windscreen. Note the tried and tested VERY HEAVY BATTERIES method of holding the roof skin in place whilst the adhesive cures, I favour the 20 kg barrels of Gel coat method myself
Great start Tony. Keep us informed of progress whenever you get some spare time.
Tony Chesney was the first to order a MX250 kit from us at the Stoneleigh Show when we launched the kit. As often happens with car projects, Tony has found that time and tide has overtaken him and he has now decided to sell his unfinished MX250 project.
The base car is a "93 Eunos MX5 V-spec 1600 with only 84K miles on the clock. Tan seats have been recovered in Tan vinyl at the cost of £400. The rear section of the kit has all been bonded on, but the front is still at the dry fit stage.
Wheels are Borbet "A" Style 16" alloy 5 spoke wheels that came off our original red demo car.
Tony has collected all the parts required to finished the car, right down to the grille mesh.
If you are interested in buying this project Tony is looking for £3500 ovno, please give him a call for more info on 07879 450596.
