I own a Siva Minibug (mini based beach buggy, only 100 made and have had for 20 years) but only had in the road for 1 year (back in 1986) when i was 17. But now I have a problem do I rebuild the car or not bother. Where i am going is that the car on the log book state it as an austin mini convertible but I have just had a correspence from another owner (not al lot around) stating that his is registered as a Siva Mininbug. So does this mean that i have to apply for an SVA test? or is there any other way around this problem. I dont want to spend loads of cash to find out I cannot drive it. Any help would be appreciated.
Kitcarman might be able to give you the definitive answer as these things keep changing but I believe at the moment you can apply to re-register it correctly, thus avoiding an SVA.
Thanks everyone for their input, this is where the problem starts 1: I do not have any old MOTS as have moved around the country quite a bit over that last 20 years so thing have got lost, 2: On the MOTS' it was down as an Austin Mini Convertible NOT a Siva Minibug. So I still have the problem So it has never been on the road as a Siva Minibug only as a Mini convertible
