Firstly hello all, I'm Phil I run Talon Motor Sport/Fabrication and my usual business is making chassis and suspension components for the Haynes Roadster. After a chance meeting at last years Donnington kit show I was asked if I was interested in going in to building chassis for other types of cars. It was suggested that I look in to making a replacement chassis that will allow the use of MX5 front and rear sub frames to be a direct bolt on option with out the need for the MX5 shell. I've yet to get the final placement of all the mounting points but I'll be posting up some pics of the finished product in the next few weeks.
All the best Phil@Talon.
That sounds good Phil. Would you be keeping the original wheelbase or have options for lengthening or shortening?
The chassis will be fabricated from 100x50x2.5-3mm box section so once the front and rear mounts have been made you could have pretty much any wheel base you wanted. Guess this means I'm going to have to make an adjustable jig now I've said that....
