Who needs Splined hubs

20 Jun 2013, 3:15pm
Sirs - new member here.
We design and manufacture splined hubs for all cars including Kit Cars. I believe we are the only volume producer in the country. We are interested in putting wire wheels on all cars - if any one has a query please let me have it and we will try to assist.

What would be the approximate cost of a single RHS MGB type hub machined to locate and bolt on to a Honda VFR750 single sided swing arm hub?

Cheers.

Hi Could be we have something in stock which was one we used for another job.
Special one off could be £180.
But thinking it is probably something we can use and adjust i would guess around the £100 mark.
Need to know the PCD and hole diameter for drilling and the wheel you intend to use we should be able to get something together. What is the application?
Will you need a spinner - can always create a special one - Honda Logo -or name. www.orson-equipment.co.uk

Ok - I'll bite - how much for a BMW bolt on hub - PCD 4x100, centre bore is 57mm, bolts are M12x1.5

Wheels - I currently have BBS basket weaves on - 15 x 7, et24. Front wheels sit fine as they are, but rears required used of a 20mm spacer.

Spinners with a Marlin logo would be nice. :)

Ok, it is a reverse trike electric truck. I will mock up with an ali spacer for now to get clearances right first.
Could be very interested in custom spinners with my logo on them.

The wheels are currently 15x6 rear (Morgan?) and standard 14" MGB on the front. Would prefer all the same size 15" though to save having two spares.

Sorry
Not really sure how to answer this - save to say we can pretty well make any hub and for that matter any spinner.
Send me an e-mail via www.orson-equipment.co.uk and we will look at it for you.

Sorry, I was just explaining, badly, the overall premise of my project.

I will get back to you when I have a mock up and dimensions for the single rear splined hub and engraved centre nuts.

I just need to work out the offsets so that I have options on the wheels.

How much over the standard price on your website do you charge for custom engraving of a set of spinners please? I am also in the market for a set of splined hubs to fit a set of mgb 14" wires to spitfire hubs.

Have emailed you full details.
Thanks.

If anyone else is interested, the reply from Orson is that a conversion hub to fit either 42 or 52mm wheels will be £125 (no mention of VAT) each.

Trial fit on a Z3 - Perfect fit. 42mm wheel hubs. 15" Aston wheels (thicker spokes)

Okay, so it isn't the body that will be fitted and it is just resting on top but gives you an idea

They also do 3 ear spinners

That does look good WCA.
Can't wait to see your project body on it. Wheels should suit that well.
