Hello,
I have decided to try and move on my 5exi project. The chassis was originally purchased with the intention to use as a base for a completely new car, however, as with many of these projects life has other ideas. All work has been carried out by specialist company Track Developments. Over 6k spent in total.
Chassis
Rolling, steering chassis with engine and drive shafts fitted. Non door chassis. Bolt in rear frame has been replaced with welded in tube frame. The rear frame has been designed in such a way that it is ready to receive brackets for rear stay bars going to the roll bar.
Suspension
The rear suspension has been replaced with the fully adjustable Track Developments track pack.
Engine & Gearbox
Low mileage VAG 1.8T engine, with 6 speed gearbox and wire harness. The engine is from a Seat Ibiza Cupra. Engine and driveshaft’s are fitted.
Miscellaneous
• Panelling for frame.
• Fuel tank
• Fiberglass windscreen surround
• Marlin wire harness (not made up)
• Few other bits and bobs
