picked the car up yesterday the wheels on it are 17s with low profile tyers so you can feel every bump. I thinks 15s with a slandered tyre would look best. can I get away with not using spacers and just use a wide rim.
If you go 15´s i have tested it a bit. Ive got 15x9" et0 with 38mm spacers in the rear. Fits like a glove. In front ive got 15x8" et0 no spacer, but there i did get a bit rubbing. So i had to widen wheelarches about 1". So if i had bought 10-20et they would have been just fine. Maybe this helps a bit.
One more important thing is how much stretch you have on the tyres, i got a small amount of stretch as i have 225/45-15 in rear and 195/50-15 up in front, so that saves me a bit too
Alternatively my 17x8 rims are ET15, 50mm spacers on the rear and none on the front.
You have a lot of choice which actually makes it more complicated rather than less.
anyone used 5 stud alloys on your mx5 fitting an adapter spacer to convert it to 4 stud, I have found some wheels I like at a good price but they are 5 stud typical. on ebay the spacer adapter is more than the wheel:s doubt:
yep sure are for two its a bitch I really like the Autostrada Modena alloy wheels but I may just need to wait it out for the right fitment to come up and just pay more for them. cheers
