This is a read-only archive of the old Madabout Kitcars forum. New posts and replies are no longer possible, but every thread is still here to browse and read.
Whats interesting and quite ironic considering the forum you are posting on , the 34 Roadster in the pictures is based around a mildly modified Scimitar chassis and running gear in their entirity.
Another point of Trivia , is the owner was the laminator who did the Hot Rod bodies for Mr. Sammio when he was offering Hot Rod kits in the late 90's and early 00's
I spoke with the owner. She drove in the Pistonheads convoy in her green Muira. She was saying when she got the car after it had been crashed her restorer complained that the original builder had used the wrong size rivets on the bodywork. She was laughing when she said 'That's the trouble with building exact recreations, people get obsessed by the details'
I must admit that it was probably my highlight of the show, even if it was just a recreation...
Hey redratbike! You are not far out on that one!
The XJ13 was my first choice of build several years ago, and of course the company went bust taking my 2.5K deposit with it.
This XKSS is my second go, and I won't lose out on this one!
