RS Panels build photos for a 250 SWB

22 Aug 2014, 9:30am
There are some good photos here of the process followed by RS Panels to restore 250SWB chassis no 2221GT.
Though the materials are different, Chris is following a similar process.

2221 was a left hand drive road car built in 1960. Here it is sold by DK Engineering. Unfortunately the price isn't shown.

Apparently, the car left the factory with a steel body but was given a new aluminium shell sometime later by someone unknown in Italy. If I had a 250SWB I wouldn't let someone 'unknown' rebody it.
The aluminium bodyshell was sold on ebay for £35k

It's a wonder Chris didn't buy it. Or did he ;-)
