Kobra featured in "Car Builder" on line magazine

7 Sep 2014, 10:59am
Congratulations Chris on the fine article in the premier issue of "Car Builder" on line magazine.

Car Builder was formerly "Kit Car Builder" magazine. The magazine is under new ownership, has recently gone from print to a digital format, and changed the name to encompass more potential readers. The owner, Steve Temple is the owner. He is very knowledgable about Kit Cars and specialty cars in general. He and the magazine deserves the support of all interested in specialty builds.

Have you got a link?

I just googled car builder magazine and there was nothing obvious on the first page of results

Interesting read and good Stateside publicity.

BUT... where can I get $500 for the Z3 bootlid off my Z300S donor???
I also noticed that Bertini were quoting donor parts sale prices of £1400 on their documentation.

I like the Bertini add on ebay, advertising their bertini prototype for £18,500 is it?! and im sure the add says a self build is possible from £6,000. Where is the other £12,500? I think it must be in parts.....

Too be honest Danny I had a serious poke around it at the Donnington show and its a Z3M with a fantastic really well put together interior that must have set them back 800-1500 alone - BUT i do agree its over priced there were some paint issues he offered it to my wife and I for 17,500 so clearly inflation over the last week was strong!

Feck I take that back just searched Ebay for the car I just assumed it was the Z3M based one that was red - mistaken! can't believe that!

Good luck to them though its a well thought out kit and incredibly simple to put together as illustrated at the show with the 'live' build but damn thats a wedge.

the interior is just re-trimed seats and door cards isnt it? Im sure the car for sale is just for sale as an advertisement to say 'this is how much the bertinis are worth finished, so please by my kits.' Im sure people know its never going to fetch the asking price. I think they have sold 1 kit though so maybe that or the one that was built at the show may be going on an ebay auction soon?

My Z300S is available for £18,500 too if anyone wants it!

As is my 250 Nick, the trouble we have is if anyone was spending that sort of money then would they not buy the Bertini?

Im going to advertise mine at £18,500 but I'l take £8,500....

then would they not buy the Bertini?

No, mine looks prettier!

Bloody hell WCA 18 and a half grand? There must be something wrong with it at that price, are you sure its not got a 1.9 engine under the bonnet? :-)

I think we will see what the bertini is really worth when the 1st 1 goes to ebay auction, i know its only worth what somone will pay but im sure it wont go over the £10k mark...

Have to say I did like the Bertini interior- for a standard spec with no mods. A bit garish for my 1950s style so a single tone mid brown would be nice.
