well after to long my car is now on the road and is registered as a MX250 GTO on the log book. if it ever stops snowing raining & blowing god awful weather she is going in for paint. problem I am having is it keeps bottoming out on the back end under the wheel arch I think its catching on the outer wheel arch because of the fat boys I have on the back. ride hight is good so I am thinking beefier springs or doughnuts like what you would fit on a car when towing a caravan. any thoughts anyone

Don't rise the back anymore . Mine had a similar problem with my massive rear tyres, what I did was trim some of the inner arch , this fixed the problem.

I have already trimmed it once there is only about 10 mm max in places left can you get doughnuts for springs as small as the mx5. the wife's loves to shop any more than a tin a beans the car will rub like hell. LOL
Our demo MX250C was very low on the back/nose in the air due to tired rear springs, replacing with some stock new ones did the trick. What size/profile are your rear tyres?
tyres are 225/50/15 and I think the spacers are around the 50mm mark to look at it you would think it would clear. its not all the time but sheffiled is the capital of pot holes and speed bumps. an other quick question off the beat, one of the light covers fell off the shelf and cracked do I need to buy a pair, and the rear window can we pick up a chrome trim I think it would just do that finishing touch,
I have 245/60 15 on the rear of mine and with a little persuasion managed to bend the arches out of the the way so there is no problems even with standard springs. I do intend to get a stiffer suspension as some time though.
I've used these a few times on different cars to gain clearance and they worked well by raising the car about 10mm or so and also effectively increasing the spring rate which also lessens the problem.
That's a good price, I paid about £30 for a pair of Aon ones (whom I think designed them originally).
Fit them in the centre of the spring length.
just need to take a tape measure to the springs to work out the gap then I will order some. it could just be my big back side and the wife but don't tell her but the suspension dose feel a little soft on the mx5
