On the bright side, he has one wing mirror, two wheels and the drivers seat he can transfer over onto the new one

Might even be able to re-use the roll cage, seems to have done it's job this time.

I remember a friend trying to choose between a new Mk 2 1600GT for £984 and a new Mk 2 Lotus Cortina for £1075. (or similar pricing). He went for the cheaper option.
