Heaters

Does anyone have any pictures of installed heaters in a Sportster? I've bought one from car builder solutions and was wondering what other people have done.

Heaters

I bought a Mini heater from Ebay (£10). It seems that it will fit OK in the space between the top of the transmission tunnel and the dash. Haven't decided how I am goin to get fresh air into it yet though.

Fresh air is essential - if you just use a heater in recycle mode it will never demist the windscreen... (assuming you are goin to fit one)

Yes I do plan to fit a screen after the SVA.

Perhapse cold air could be ducted from the side panels just infront of the doors (the ones that come with louvre slats already made in them)?

Where are you planning to route your pipes? The stock ones seem to run nicely to the top of the passenger side foot well.

I too, bought my mini heater on ebay but paid £87.50, ouch.

There is one picture on Marlin's "Instuction Manual" picture CD, but it is buried in a folder called 'Interior trim' that is in a folder called 'Body' and that is in a folder called 'E30-36 sorted'.

By the way, has anyone actaully seen a BMW Sportster build manual? I only ever got a picture CD and an old ford based manual. :eusa_doh:

It's not a problem now, as I have worked out most things myself, just wondering what they supply with new kits now?

best regards

There isnt one, the CD is the build "manual". Unless they've written one and not told current builders.
