Just seen the update of Robin's build on his website.
Nice set of wheels, Robin. Hey, will look really good!
Has your rear suspension got the standard or lowered springs fitted?
Does anyone know if Marlin do different width rear wheel arches? I think i've seen some reference to them somewhere but can't remember if it was an old Marlin price list of something?
Sounds interesting - I guess a good bodywork place could widen the rear arches if needed.
Have you measured your front and rear track width? I did a rough eye up of mine at the weekend and rear wheels are so much closer together than the front its silly! Going to need majorly big spacers or wheels with a different offset. I will do a proper measurement at some point very soon.
I have had some lowered springs made but they are far to stiff. The suspension barely moves and it is much to high. I will have to try again but I am waiting for someone else to try before I blow another £80...
I was thinking about widening the rear wheel arches like Patrick as the rear wheels are a very tight fit (rears are 8j fronts are 7.5j) but if you look at the moulding it would be very difficult. I think I might end up swapping the two 8j wheels for another pair of 7.5j's. Apparently the 8j's are quite rare and "disireable"so there should be no problem to do that.
Marlin used to do two widths of wheel arch for the rear but I beleive all kits are now supplied with the wide arches.
