I am thinking of upgrading my headlights on my MX250 to the led type bulbs. Has anybody done this yet? Is it a simple plug in and play? The ones for sale on the Internet have two prongs but my bulb holder has three , guess I need a bulb with three prongs!
Am I right ?

As you know, the three prongs are for main beam, dip and earth, so unless the LED jobbies have a separate earth it appears they're only a single beam.

Kinda what I was thinking.

Not sure about shipping to the UK as I'm stateside, or if these meet your road standards. Hella ecodes are your best option for a halogen upgrade.

I have a headlight upgrade kit I need to fit. If is stuck in the garage at the moment but I might dig it out at the weekend.

Basically an extra transformer and connectors to an H4 bulb.

I think is just HID bulb not LED though.

If I get time to fit it I will try before and after pictures.

Dont you guys sleep in England I get parts from Ali express which is in China they have all sorts but if you go into auto section you can find heaps of lights esp HID conversions for your headlights and different LED for all other lights, most are free shipping and only takes 4-5 days to be delivered to NZ

Led headlight bulbs are a bit of a minefield. There's cheap bulbs which are dimmer than halogens, expensive bulbs which are bright but (like hids) will not give the right beam pattern and dazzle oncoming drivers.
The only effective solution is the 7 inch assembly designed for (expensive) leds.
