Bugger, bought a pair of original used Mini one yesterday!

When you say you can lock it without the central locking, does this mean you can unlock the car with the Herald handles in case the central locking fails?
I'm not worried about locking the car, just unlocking.

Do you know if they are new old stock or repro's? I purposely bought good original as I have had lots of problems with "new" chrome

Sharing info? You're such a joker!

They look much better than the classic mini ones IMHO and similar price.

Hi Jag,

They are reasonably heavy, and I do know postage has gone up a bit lately.

In answer to your question regarding locking and unlocking, they are totally independent from the BMW system, but they will lock and unlock on the key, if your blip fails when your car is locked you will have a problem getting in to the car.

The quality is not too bad, the chrome is slightly duller than the Mini ones but they do look well made.

My blip did not work with my car, as I am not having electric windows, central locking or speakers in the door I have ripped out all the wiring from the doors, they are on a multi plug on the A post and come out easy after removing a couple of small bolts.

Thanks for that, I think I will stick to my used Mini ones as my central locking works (at the moment).
