The drive from Southampton to Stevenage this morning was quite fresh with a chill wind blowing from behind through the centre between the seats. At the end of the journey, my left ear was thoroughly chilled*.

Has anyone used the wind deflectors that fit between the seats?

There seem to be two types, mesh or clear plastic. Info on either or home made versions welcome.

Would a flying biggles look better. Hat goggles. Keep ya ears warm and ya eyes bug free.

I had the fabric mesh type that fit over the hoops behind the seats and that worked well. I sold it though as don't have hoops to fit it on any more!

i have a mesh type one on my A4 and used to have the fold down type on my MX5 both work well and do make a difference , not as good as a Biggles , ear muffs and flying goggles though !!

This is the girly net on mine- never actually taken it off to see what difference it makes.

My own is like #4 but without the strings.

I had the Perspex version on mine, but again never took it off, so can't say how much better it was. It had a Z3 'logo' on it which I didn't particularly like.

I am thinking of getting some perspex cut to shape and fitting that.

The cold wind at 70mph up driving up the motorway swirls around between the seats and freezes one ear. I ended up leaning over towards the window to avoid it and got a stiff neck because of it.

I didn't notice this before, I guess I am getting old and becoming a pansy :-)

Just for you, I took the Z300S for 2 laps round my 6 mile "take it for a spin" road circuit- once with and once without the girly net thing. Have to say that the difference was noticeable.
I would have done it twice more with the side windows up but decided to get back to the gardening that herself thought I was doing whilst she was out.
