Hi
My name is Matt and I just found your site, I am doing some restoration and modifications on a 25 year and old " ferris buellers day off " car built my Modena back in the late 80s early 90s...I would like to get some input from you guys and can post some pictures as it progresses, I have done quite a few things so far and could post some pics to bring you guys current ,let me know if there is any interest and where is the best place on the forum to post the project
Regards
Matt

It seems I can only load one picture at a time

That seems like a very nice looking car - but the pictures are way too small to be able to see any detail :(

Is it based on a Z3?

Won't be a z3 if it's built by Modena, the cars were built specifically for the movie as far as I know. Custom frame and very accurate. (rear lights might be a little off)

Here is another one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C59X31zQNz0
virtually identical to originals (also just goes to show what a good DNA has done especially with their dash)

All finished

Finally finished the car

Why don't you post these photos on your other thread where you are asking for a better set of panels or moulds ?

Mattie69 - Nice job on the restoration Matt.

Hard to tell from the photos, but is the colour a very dark grey, rather than a black?

Either way, I think it makes the car look more subtle than the 'in your face' Ferrari Red.

Enjoy, Paul. :)

Don't get me wrong, your car looks stunning. I'm just surprised that you are already looking to start again to build a better car. What areas on this one would need to be improved? It looks really convincing already.

I thought I would build one that is an exact replica in terms of size and shape and set it up for a late model Ferrari v12, I believe you can buy the 3D info and have a plywood buck burned out or have a foam plug cut, not sure if anybody has done one yet , or if anybody outthier does this type of work, would be interested in having 5-10 bodies made

Thank you for the info
