You are probably right Frogster ...the catagories have all changed , no C and D now either , all called something else ...so not sure what the current system is ....it's not too much of an issue , you will be able to retrieve the V5 .. but it's a bit of extra aggro ..
You used to have to have cat C VOSA checked to make sure it wasn't a ringer, this was discontinued a year or so back so you don't need to have the car checked before going back on the road.
For the TVR, if it hasn't got a V5 you just need to fill out the form saying you didn't receive it from the previous owner stating cat C or D and a cheque for £25.......Simples, so long as you know the registration number.
Just noticed that it seems to have an old tax disc in the window which will give you the reg number.
