fuel level sender

Went to mount the sender supplied by marlin into the tank; The tank has 6 mounting holes with riv-nuts and thus doesnt fit with a 5 holed sender.Any ideas guys? The obvious painful solution is to patch the tank and start anew for sender unit.cheers

As I posted in the other thread:

Our Marlin supplied tank didn't have any holes, we did that ourselves:

Needed a load of gasket sealer to stop it leaking. Nice and solid now though! :) Some of the other builder have used much more elegant solutions. Have a look through some of the other build sites :)

Spoke to marlin today; The tank I got at the time was drilled for a unit that has since been discontinued--my fault for not building when I bought the kit!My only solution is to cut out this mounting from the tank, alu weld over, and mount the new sender with its glorious 5 hole flange!
