Pedal Box

26 Oct 2006, 11:23am
Hi all, I'm trying to order my pedal box from Rover and am unsure as to which car it is off? I have bought too many new items only to find they are incorrect!

I think it is from the 200 1.6? not the 25 1.6 can anyone confirm this?

Mine's from a bubble shape (circa 1997), 1.6 K-series car.

Are you building it from new parts, to get a new reg plate?

Hi John, yes all new parts to get the new reg!
I thought for the expense of building the car in the first place I may aswell spend a little more and have a new car!

I have decided on a different route for the hydraulic cluth but not sure whether it will work until parts have arrived

Craig if it helps I used the R25 Pedal box. I think you will find that they are identical to the R200 Bubble type. Rover did not have the money or inclination to change such things when they did the update.

Thanks for the advice! Do I have to have the pedals shortened or can you manage without?

Have the Brake & Clutch pedals shortened..in my opinion, it's not safe to drive if you don't......throttle is OK left alone (this gives a nice long throttle pedal...as the orange demo car)

...Brake and clutch - strip the pedals from the box and send them to Marlin. Mine came back within a fortnight and were a superb job...pedal heights just right.

Cheers Rich! It's a pity a chucked the Marlin pedal box I had originally as I thought the gas pedal was too long but had not looked at build manual properly DOH!!
