L@LeMans, thank you for your support, talking of LeMans,
I think my XK is too low to be able to negotiate the ramps on a ferry, so I may never get to go there in it! Boo Hoo!

You won't believe what will go on the ferry ! I can remember one time on a Portsmouth - Cairn crossing the entire deck was filled with classics and kit cars . Many really low slung cars too like my M6 GTR. The ramps can look a bit steep getting on and off but the guys on the ferry will always help if needed.

Wow! Looking almost more original than a bloody original one!

What a bargain for some rich S.O.B!

Barber 29th July 2016 10:01

That looks delightful. I admire you enthusiasts who like the wind in your face, through your jacket and shirt and down your UPs.:-)

Nice looking car Mick, and I'm a big BRG paint fan, but that green is dreadful!

Jaguartvr 3rd August 2016 12:52

I quite like the metallic green, makes it clear that it is a modern recreation. Don't like the cream interior, Scottie's red would be much more in keeping.
4.2, Jag running gear and a very nice dash, whats not to like.
Wonder what the reserve is, I would imagine a lot.

Thanks for the complement JTV, I am humbled! :-)

Ha ha ha ha ha ha thats funny ...d type?

not knocking the car as thats great ....

the grill oening looks almost rover shaped ..big because the huge radiator a v12 needs

I lile the fact he calls it thr monster which is more fitting ....i bet it is a monster...looks fun though.

Scottie22 25th August 2016 07:23

Could not agree more!

Calling it a D Type is certainly pushing things a wee bit, but what an awesome creation!

The work he must have put into that, it has to be admired.

WOW - my question would be - If he had someone that good at shaping aluminium - why design such an awful looking car when he could have designed anything!?!

such a shame as the skills he had look spot on.

You can have an aptitude to craft a material and have no idea about aesthetics

The car looks well engineered, but engineers don't style cars

And still they come.............

This I like, more lottery tickets required!

I collected my project from the paint shop yesterday. Judge for yourselves if the less than four figure sum was worth it. For my part I think it's absolutely stunning, every penny well spent.

Who'd have thought that the humble A38 could double as the Mulsanne Straight!

Regards, Mick

Went to the Revival yesterday ...half a dozen D Types there ...3 long nose and 3 short nose .....including the winner of the fated 55 Le Mans race ....getting up close and personal to that car was something else ....

Roadster 10th September 2016 17:15

Great looking I love the Ecosse livery
