Friday 21st is good for me for a pick up of my kit, if that is ok with you.
|
Hi Tony, just got back from Goodwood, got your message and will call you on Saturday.
|
Picked up my kit today very pleased, thanks to Chris and Dan for all the advice, oh and I forgot to say thanks for the tea.

It's always exciting when the first of a new type of kit is due for collection, and I am really pleased with the way the new rear end fits and looks now. http://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/...psf48e759b.jpg Please keep us informed of your progress. |
New MOT on the base car this week lights fitted, vents cut out and kit trimmed, just need a dry day off now to start.

This is as far as I have got before rain and work set in. Need to clear my garage of junk! http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...0-03193523.jpg

Thanks Tytek, hardest part is working out the Photobucket part.

tonyt - First of all, good luck with your build.
I'm building a Sammio Cordite on the forum section "next door" and love this photo... http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...9-27182608.jpg It makes my front drive build area look quite normal. :icon_wink: http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...L/DSCF7536.jpg Jokes aside, I do have one question / request for you... I have bought very similar (if not the same) rear stop/tail & indicator lights. Is there any chance you can take a picture from the other side to show how you have held them in place? Cheers, Paul. :) |
|
Thanks Tony, that is a big help to my own build.

Looking good  One concern is the position of the front numberplate , below the grille, I dont think you will have enough ground clearance once the kit is on the car :icon_frown: Keep up the good work and get that garage cleared out, long dark evenings are upon us..... |
Can't you have the number plate above vents?
|
Day off today, raining! Still a fruitfull trip to my local scrap yard, all this for a £10 note, no Mondeo or Rover was safe. Lots of grill and vent options to consider. Noted number plate issue mine is on standard springs so may be ok if not a stick on plate above the vents will be the answer.http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...0-08164246.jpg
|
My original idea was a Mondeo ST grill with the surround painted black, think a chrome surround would be better, combined with the ST mesh.http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...0-08164744.jpg
