Fantastic turn out, I estimate that there were about 350 assorted classics, rods, Detroit iron, kit cars and specials, from the sublime - http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5awjdrj8.jpg http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1wq25ewf.jpg http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...pst0gy1va0.jpg ...to the ridiculous - http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...pshv2rhltd.jpg One that caught my eye was this pastel green sit up and beg pop - http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...ps80eczqjq.jpg ...which was running a rather sweet colour coded Maserati motor - http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...psata4dfnx.jpg http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...pskm596p5k.jpg Phil was in fine fettle as usual and our cars both drew a lot of positive comments. http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...psw834mlgt.jpg http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...psr1vee17y.jpg http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...pslakysmck.jpg I was also told by at least twenty people that I must be bloody cold, and I'd have come back with a scathing and witty retort if my face hadn't been frozen solid. Overall, a really great day out that was attended by enough enthusiasts to fill a football field - http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/...psiembf4qm.jpg |

Mr T - It does look like a good event and it is great to see your car out and about.
I did think of you as I was scraping the ice off my 'daily' to take my wife to the shops yesterday morning, as it was still -1 at 9am. Which means I would definitely need to go up the night before to attend this. ( As driving in sub zero temperatures in the dark is not my idea of fun. ) There are a few more photos of the Maserari Pop here: http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/cha...ti-pops-477138 Cheers, Paul. :) |
Looked to be a great turn out on the day MrT and the weather was kind all be it fresh, its a shame it so far away from me as i would of liked a look out. Had intended to take my car out today but last night we had a heavy frost which means the roads have been gritted and i am trying to keep the car off the road when the salts about.
Pleased to see a couple of sammio's flying the flag, hardy souls these sammio drivers. |
