Chris has an e type body
That's not too difficult to mod to look like the update. I do love the retro curves on a modern theme |
The Lyonheart K, previously known as the Growler E type is one of my favourite cars. I am sure you could create something similar mixing together several of Tributes kits. (A352, Z3000S, GTO)

Have any of these actually been delivered yet? All the websites reporting them are full of "will be" and "going to"...
And we are now well past the first advertised delivery date... Vapourware? |

Just an idea, how about a Lyonheart K Style kit for the Z3 ? http://oi60.tinypic.com/28rpie0.jpg |
Anthony Cherry's already done it with his Bertini
http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/...57444BA55D.jpg With some changes to the front it could look like you want. |
Could someone with photochopping skills please add the slender front and wheels from DSG4MEs car to the Bertini doors and rear end?

Quite like the Alfa Romeo gt junior bertone. The one with the four lights at the front and smaller lights at the back. I was trying to find what an Italian muscle car would look like. Usually with grill parallel with the headlights . No v8 power but its got nice proportions.

Italian muscle car. Mmm 1970-77 Alfa Montreal. V8 injection . Quite strong chiselled lines. Bonnet scoop . Behind door vents. Horizontal tailights. Could work on mx5 mk1 and z3

Could work with the windscreen height of the donors as the proportions have quite a low door height . And could make a wide arch version on the z3 bit like the racing version of the alfetta

The father of a friend of ours has one in long term storage up on blocks in his garage in Devon.[i] And you haven't slapped a mould off it yet? You are slacking! |
Could get dimensions off it and angles to build something like it just by using a tape. Width length of bonnet. Ways without molding.
|
I'd settle for one of these.......was thinking a miglia front modified would get you a good starting point

Try this
How about this then:-
http://www.msn.com/en-gb/video/watch...UK&FORM=BWVOLC If a kid can do it so can Chris, not sure if its z3 based though |
|
Abarth 205 Monza looks good. Deep doors to allow for wide wheels.
|
I wonder what a Maserati a6g outline would look placed over an mx5. Bit like was done on the 250 swb with the yellow line. Scaled down to allow for the mx5 wheelbase. Side view would be easier to work with.

we need a four seater for the family man but still with the style we all like mean and low, the beetle based varon at the start of the thread is the dogs yes please for me. or I also like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-Toyot...item1a03a8bb20
Attachment 2759 four seats but again looks the dogs |
I think Aston put a stop to that build. The builder had to change the tailights and it became a one off. Plus the donors are quite scarce. Mk6 Toyota celica convertible or something like that.
|
not very often the wife likes a kit car but even she said now I do like that when she saw the beetle varon almost tempted to have a pop myself

what's spare time, & where do you put the shopping lol
|
Need a sensible four seater? How about this 1947 Paris Salon concept from Franay.
http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7apeaze4.jpg And if Chris leaves the B***ley badges off I'm sure Crewe will be fine with it... |
That's fantastic, and looks as if it's floating
|
I thought i would see if the car is still there...

A few changes then...
I checked and Frank Dale is still trading as an independent RR & Bentley specialist. |
No! Stop them burying the car!!
Good spot btw. |
Erm how bout the headlight area of a Alfa Romeo Montreal on a lancia stratos . engine at the front with the open grill between the headlights . bit like the Ferrari 308 GT without the pop up lights possibly using the headlights off a Alfa 159
|
That way it keeps the wedge shape but fixed lights at the front.
|
I spotted this car/design airbrushed (nearly lifesize) on the wall of a warehouse in Spain a few years ago. I just hade to take a photo of it when I saw it.
Its a sort of mix between a Cobra, Zagato & Austin Healey. http://oi59.tinypic.com/33y5qa8.jpg I think it looks pretty cool. |
Don't know how to take photos off other sites but Ant Anstead makes some pretty neat cars saw this one down at Goodwood a few years back. Some nice styling touches
