Yes a lot easier! make sure your in a warm environment and use a heat gun (not a hair drier) try to avoid the cheap stuff on eBay, it tends to be very thin and the adhesive is weak, I find the hexis vinyl to be one of the best, great value and easy to work with

These are the stripes down the side,

one 210mm stripe over the top with 8mm stripe either side all in green, i ran out of time today so only managed to get the stripe on the bonnet

it was a bit dark by the time i'd finished, took a picture anyway,

redratbike 15th March 2014 14:16

Have you used the vinyl cutting tape..? Seen it on you tube can't find where it's sold

Edit just found it

TheLaughingCow 15th March 2014 15:52

I think your talking about knifeless tape, wrapcut pro is pretty good and available from mdp for about £12 (I know as we badgered them into stocking it) great for straight lines or slight curves, I noticed a few eBay sellers were selling it for twice that

what colour vinyl are you after? Only asking as I might be able to cut you a deal on some top quality leftovers.

TheLaughingCow 18th March 2014 14:05

I may relocate it once the front grill is in

seanick 18th March 2014 21:51

Looks great, and I like the graphics and stripes.

I actually saw a 50 foot gin palace being wrapped last week! Amazing! Going from white to blue. Apparently it's becoming popular because of the restrictions on using two pack paints in the open, more in Europe than here though.

TheLaughingCow 19th March 2014 14:38

Gin palace? I'm not familiar with that phrase, is that like a castle full of booze?:-)

froggyman 19th March 2014 14:45

Luxury boat/yacht. (me thinks)

TheLaughingCow 19th March 2014 14:58

Oh That makes more sense!

slangenracing 19th March 2014 18:34

Very nice car! The striping does it! Also like the meshed headlights! Keep up the good work!

TheLaughingCow 20th April 2014 08:25

Havnt added an update for a while, mainly because ive been having too much fun driving it!

WorldClassAccident 20th April 2014 08:44

I can see a contender for the Triburte Automotive Owners Club Best in Show competition

TheLaughingCow 20th April 2014 09:16

Thanks, but it's not quite there yet!
Is there an award for the nicest exhaust note?

Tribute Automotive 21st April 2014 19:07

Looking forward to seeing you and the car at Stoneleigh soon, I will post you some passes, once they arrive.

TheLaughingCow 24th April 2014 00:13

Thanks!

TheLaughingCow 24th April 2014 00:15

Decided to colour match the centre console to the outside of the car, hopefully it will look nice when fitted, otherwise i'll be peeling it back off!

Scottie22 24th April 2014 05:22

Think your back lights are spot on!

They really suit the car.

They remind me of retro Ford?

Scottie22 24th April 2014 05:33

Rear lights

I think they are old BMW 1802 or 2002, I have thought about the same for my Dino

neemo 24th April 2014 07:57

yep they look like bmw 2002 lights pre 1973

TheLaughingCow 25th April 2014 05:07

they are indeed bmw 2002 lights, skip back a few pages and you'll see we played the "guess where my lights are from" game! a few months back,

I was originally going for the cortina lights as above, but they don't have the reversing light built in like the bmw lights

TheLaughingCow 25th April 2014 05:08

apparently they are also upside down according to axels picture

Scottie22 25th April 2014 08:55

No, the BMW ones were upside down, yours are correct!
Hey when we build cars we can do what we want!!

There's a guy in Perth who put his Impreza in to get wrapped and got it back a month later, with a knackered clutch, bald tyres and it was only half wrapped! Looks like you're the real deal though :)

Where did you get these mirrors? Can you also talk to me about how you installed those side repeaters?
