New roof

Had a new roof fitted today by Dean at soft-tops in Croydon, google
"soft tops Croydon" as the website id down.

I had the smaller rear window option that has been fitted to a few of the DNA 250's, makes a big difference and suits the car. Also went from black to blue to match the paint.
Fit is perfect, simply can't fault it and only too a couple of hours

With the DNA cars and their bonded on bodies the cost is £575, with the Tributes you can simply in bolt the rear section which takes 20 minutes and the cost goes down to £495. You have to do the unbolting yourself.

Pictures tomorrow.

I had mine completely reclothed and new window at Car Hood Warehouse just over a year ago. Choice of colours - I chose black - just turn up and they do the whole thing while you wait. They say it takes 3 - 4 hours but mine was nearer 2 hours. They are based near Seven Oaks and you can wander around the nature reserve while you wait.

The hood still seems fine, leak free and with a clear window. It was £600 so more than JagTVR is paying

For a standard Z3 window it is £425 fitted in black or blue.
Trying to post a picture but postimage seems to be having problems.
Is it me are all these picture hosting sites crap?

The image sites are going through ownership changes or changes of business model to try and get more money out of people. They have realised that most people don't care about the extra features so use loads of space without paying.

Make the free stuff too small and awkward to use and people pay to upgrade - they hope

new roof

I also had a new roof/window fitted, black mohair with pockets, local chap did it all in for £500. Seems fine, but had to adjust locks as it was much tighter that the old one, told it will stretch in time so need to adjust to keep it a tight fit, easy to do those, just a small allen key needed to loosen and few turns of the locking clips then tighten back up. Looks smart and goes with rest of car when up, clear window at rear is fantastic, big difference to look of the car, for sure! :icon_lol:

Has taken longer for me to upload the picture that it did to fit the roof!

As you can see the rear window is about 3" narrower than standard and it looks so much better. Hard to tell but it is navy blue not black.
