What paint for an air cooled engine?

I am rebuilding the Guzzi V-Twin for my Pembleton. Originally it was (badly) powder coated but this is long past its best. Does anybody have any advice of what paint I should use on the crankcase? Being air cooled it will get quite a bit warmer than a water cooled block. Also, it's alluminium so I suppose it will need an etch primer if the paint is to be long lasting?

Paint for the barrels and heads is less of a problem as there seems to be plenty of paint on offer specifc to that use.

Thanks for any advice

Brake Caliper spray paint is nice stuff to use and is good up to 900 deg F.

It's a bit thicker than Hammerite so gives a nice smooth finish, but it's softer so more vulnerable to scratches.

And you probably don't need a primer?
