Very nice.
I do like the convertible better than the coupe version.

Looking Good!

Nice and shiny compared with last Sunday. Money well spent!

Regards, Mick

That is really cool. Nice design choices (like the simple grill a lot) and good colour.

Would it be ok to share a couple of pics please. There are a few people on a Z3 forum that were interested in rebodies and this new model especially

What is it’s future now ?

Dave

The future ? Might build a V8 Formosa next ! I'd have to let the Z3GTC go in order to free up the space and raise the funds !

The car is now officially for sale to make way for a new project ! I get bored very quickly and this hobby for me is all about the build process rather than ownership when its complete !

Please send me a pm if you are interested.

Lucky@LeMans 25th October 2020 09:11

The car is listed on ebay item no 193723650495

Jaguartvr 25th October 2020 09:28

needs more photos

Lucky@LeMans 27th October 2020 16:22

More photo's added along with price reduction ! I am open to silly offers, try me, you never know !!

Lucky@LeMans 29th October 2020 12:53

I've decided to slash the price for a quick sale. First offer of £15k buys it !

I need to make room for my next project which I'm collecting in the morning !

I am always impressed with how fast you build cars.

But I am also surprised at the fact you don’t want to drive them just a little bit more before they go. ;)

Anyway, good luck with the sale.

Cheers, Paul. :)

PS
I really like the way your mods for the front vents and side repeaters worked out.

I built a V8 Robin Hood S7 back in the 1990's. I kept that one for around 6 years partly because the owners club and social scene within it was great at the time !

The Z3GTC was advertised on ebay. Lots of interest with over 8000 page views and 80+ watchers but no takers yet !

I've decided to take it to the CCA auction, they sold my 275 back in the spring.
The sister company Silverstone Auctions have a sale this weekend, some very impressive cars going through. I dropped the car off yesterday at Stoneleigh and hall 2 is totally full with their cars. They have lots of interest by all accounts even given the current situation.
Watch the auction live on their website.

Here is the link to my sale at CCA auctions. Low estimate will bring in a few interested parties hopefully !

First day of the Silverstone sale today. Most cars sold and some fancy prices paid. How about £15750 for a Mk1 Golf DIESEL ! Fair enough it had less than 1000 miles from new but even so !

Day two of the auction tomorrow including the Stirling Moss collection. Watch it live on the Silverstone website.

Good luck, Paul. :)

PS
Too late now, but I think a cheap 1960s Plate would more than cover its cost in terms of value added.
(There may be better/cheaper combinations, this was just a quick search result.)

Thanks for posting the photos Paul ! Wish I had the skills and the kit to do the same !

The live stream Silverstone auction is on at the moment , cars going through now until about 5.30

Most of the road cars were being sold but at the lower end of their estimates on the whole. The competition cars weren't doing so well but their reserve prices were simply too high in many cases. Not many people have £100k - £500k to spend on a race or rally car these days !

A few weeks to wait now for the CCA sale. The cars entered in that sale are at the more affordable end of the market so should appeal to more people.

IanA 15th November 2020 09:42

I followed that auction for an hour or so- £400k for a Metro 6R4 !!! Even more for a Renault 4 Turbo rally car. I looked at some of their previous sales and large barges- BMW or Mercs go for very low prices- probably high mileage and deffo gas guzzlers but usually worth the experience. I once had a BMW 733i - absolutely no effort to drive but it ate rear tyres. That's because it's a 2 ton car, resolutely not because of the way it was driven!!!

The auction is next Saturday, 12 December. Plenty of interest by the looks of it, just need a couple of bidders on the day !

redratbike 28th December 2020 20:47

Did it sell well ??

Lucky@LeMans 28th December 2020 22:05

It sold, the buyer got a bargain !
