Thankyou for all your kind comments....Brian DNA

Of course this is the car that hopefully will give DNA Automotive volume in the states. ...Expect better than ever panel fit and finish too!
Give Barry DNA USA a call for pre launch orders.

Thanks man. I look forward to seeing this one done.

What a shame to choose one of the less attractive Ferrari models. My own preference is the 275GTB/4 and you can follow the progress of my build which was inspired by the Tribute Automotive choice of a BMW Z3 on this forum. .

priceofhistoys 2nd December 2015 16:52

Less attractive? By who's standards? If I remember from reading on another forum this came about because a customer wanted it and they built it. But the response was very good and they decided to put it into production

Standards? No. Opinion? Yes. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." It seems to me that most enthusiasts prefer the 250 GTO because of it's illustrious racing record. But then again, that is only an opinion .......

priceofhistoys 3rd December 2015 13:36

I think it looks good. But as you said beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am going to wait to see what it looks like painted, all the chrome on it, etc .

I know there are months before its finished but can we have some better photos of it please.
The Gel coat looks thick and shiny and DNA do make quality kits but it does come at a hefty price.

Add a decent donor and all the kits, paint and details and your over 10k before you know it

Danny_HUFC 3rd December 2015 16:59

'Hefty' price. I agree! Afterall, where did the idea come from? Z3 donor? Classic ferrari?.....

Hey Danny,

I do not know what Tribute charges for what they offer. It is also hard to tell if what DNA is going to charge if a Hefty Price . I have no idea what the quality of a DNA kit is compared to a tribute kit.

priceofhistoys 3rd December 2015 17:07

And this one was just too funny not to post

Its a lot less than the £7,200 that DNA are charging, like a lot less...

Kit 275GTB 4th December 2015 06:49

That's odd. The kick up of the rear wing top just behind the door is much more pronounced on the grey car in DNA's workshop than the red car with the "K9" number plate. Can anyone explain that?

Kit 275GTB 4th December 2015 08:12

Could it be the red one "K9" is actually a 250SWB kit? See http://www.oldandyoungtimer.com/onde...250-swb#photo4

The red 1 with K9 numberplate is tribute automotives swb. Its yours for half the price of the DNA are charging for their 60s inspired kit.

Danny_HUFC 4th December 2015 08:45

Tribute are charging £3,000 for the SWB kit.
DNA are chrarging £7,200 for their kit.

Your website is also better. Sorry I found the wrong reference.

priceofhistoys 4th December 2015 12:35

What's with all the DNA hate? Does it really matter what they charge for there product? At the end it's up to you to decide which one you want to buy.

Again I don't know what the quality of either is but would you pay a higher price for a kit if the low cost one was going to take 100 hours to make fit right? No saying that's the case just trying to understand why it matters how much dna is going to charge.
