Hi Scottie,
When my head was blowing, it blew between the cylinders without breaking the water seal, so I drove home from Stoneleigh on two cylinders! The next time it blew, five miles after repair, was the other two cylinders, so another slow drive home! By the way, why have all the photos disappeared from your posts? I have tried every trick I know to get them back, but they seem to have gone. Is there something I should be doing on Photobucket? Chips |

Hi Ian, so does this mean I can no longer view Scotties photos? I had no problem until a couple of days ago.

The enforcement seems random- early pics on my build thread are still visible (for now?) and they are hosted by PB and I declined to pay the sums requested. I use tinypic now but I understand that their service has been inconsistent lately. |
Thanks Ian, I note that some of Deggsys photos have also vanished. It's a shame, because these threads are a fantastic incentive to prospective A352 builders, like myself.
Thanks for clarifying this for me. Chips Carpenter. |
The new CEO of Photobucket reversed that decision (after his predecessor was fired) and they should all show now - try refreshing the page if they don’t come up first time (a quick look on page 2 shows them all on my screen)

Apologies for diverting the thread Scottie- best rectified by some more pics of your super car- please. |
Hello all,
I also just noticed that my pics have flown, I have asked Paul for help as he seems good at photobucketing around! I am in the process of trying to restore the pics and will try posting some new ones when I get time!! |
$399 pa was the business model that killed Photobucket - latest pricing is $4:03 a month for 2GB $5:83 a month for 20GB and $10:33 for 20TB

Chips airhead,
when my Triumph head blew it made a one-inch gap in the gasket between 1 and two so I also limped home at 20 mph on 3 and 4....... with other motorists giving me V signs and moaning 'cos I held them up! |
Chips: forgot to mention that when it overheated again, I thought f**k it and had a 1300 engine rebuilt, so I still dont know what or even care anymore what it was!
And a big thank you to "Oxford" for the the kind donation of that engine for a crate of beer! |

Scottie - Good news, the photos are back and your car looks as beautiful as ever.
Chipsairhead - A belated welcome to the forum. John/JG who owns this forum did put a fix in place to get around the photobucket issue. But for some unknown reason it occasionally stops working. I've just checked Deggsy's thread and I can see photos on Page 1 this morning. So I hope you can see everything today too. Cheers, Paul. :) |
Thanks for the pics Scottie... time for a new desktop background :D
|
Imagine my Joy and Happiness to find all the photos back in place! Deep Gratitude to all who had a hand in restoring them.
So, on to another lost day in dreamland on the 'net! Xk still looks brill, Scottie. Chips |
It continues to be a fabulous example of what you can do in your shed.
|
Thanks for that landmannnn It was actually built in that tent, and it still lives in there!
